Operation Smile - Michael Evans

In listening to a Leadership speaker last night, the founder of Operation Smile talked to us about his organization and how they help kids around the world with cleft lip and cleft pallet deformities. They go to many developing countries, as well as other countries, to help children with these deformities. As he spoke, he mentioned reasons why children developed these conditions. As it turns out, they develop this deformity because of malnutrition and not eating properly. This seemed to me to insinuate that not having a balance of natural supplements has ill effects on our well being as humans. As it would appear, God’s gift of nature and all it encompasses is necessary in order live properly on this planet. I found it interesting that people who did not balance the natural nourishment would cause harm in people. It reinforced the fact that without nature man could not survive. If we do not eat properly, we develop deformities that no longer allow us to eat, causing us to die of malnourishment.
