Compare and Contrast - Seth Stout

During my summer as a construction worker there are many tasks that I did that involved quite a bit of strength (not to brag or anything) but the job was made easier with the help of technology. An example of this would be hanging 18 foot links of pipe that weigh 80 pounds, over the span of three football fields while more than 50 feet in the air. This task was made a lot easier with the help of a lift that not only supported the weight of multiple workers but also the weight of multiple links of pipe. During these physically demanding work days, I could not help but wonder what it was like for those construction workers who did not have the use of such technology.
